So I decided since it's the first week on January, I decided to think of my own little "OLW" or "ONE LITTLE WORD" that I would center my month and year around. You know? A NEW YEARS "THEME," or in my case resolution/goal. The word I chose is BRAVE. I know with this past years experiences, the only way I feel I can move forward is to grit my teeth, be myself and be BRAVE.
I truly believe that "The brave do not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all." Since Bode's passing, I feel my mind has been open to noticing more people who are struggling with trials. Now I'm not just talking about those of us who have lost babies or children this year or those who have undergone Chemo cancer treatments or battling some disease. I'm also talking about those who struggle day to day being a mom, a caregiver, a dad, an employee, a friend, a wife, a husband, a friend…. Get the picture.
I know in my heart each of us struggle with something. Things that seem so simple or small still can affect our spirits and courage to do things we only dream of doing or being the person we know we can become. I have met so many individuals over the last several months who have helped me realize, no ones life is easy. Even though sometimes it may appear like others around us are sailing through a life of luxury or perfection. Keep in mind that at some point that person and these people will eventually struggle or have a setback or better yet a lofty trial to overcome. This is why we must be a little kinder to those around us each and every day. You really might never know what they are facing or what they may SOON be up against. No one will get through this life alive and no one will get through this life with-out hard and difficult trials.
I hope each one of you out there will take the time to find your "OLW" and go to work. I hope my little "FREE" printable will inspire you to take this year by the "you know what" and BE BRAVE in order to accomplish those resolutions and GOALS you have for yourself and your families. REMEMBER to be true to yourself and BE YOU! Each of us are unique and come to earth with different talents and gifts, also individual trials and hardships. Therefore, BE YOU BRAVELY and find your own ways of stepping out of your comfort zone to become a better you this year.
